What we collect

• Account details: username, display name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash), profile picture and bio.
• Activity: games you play and how long you play them, ratings, reports, follows and notifications.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We keep a record of what was paid and when, not your card details. Testers' identity and bank details are collected by Stripe, not by us.
• Technical data: IP addresses briefly, to prevent abuse and spam.

How we use it

To run the site: show ratings, track playtime for verified ratings and paid playtests, pay testers, send account emails and notifications, and stop abuse. We don't sell personal information.

What others can see

Your display name, username, profile picture, bio, games and ratings are public. Your email address is not. Paid playtest reports are only visible to the developer who paid for them and our moderators.

Cookies

We use a login cookie, a security cookie that protects forms, and a short-lived cookie for on-screen messages. No advertising cookies.

Children

Proving Ground isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

You can edit your profile and email preferences in Settings, and ask us to delete your account and data at any time. Some payment records must be kept for tax purposes.
