Ember Wake

About this game

The Last Flame is fading. Wake as Kael, the last Ember Knight, and cut a path through the Mosswood, the Ruins of the Order and the Ashen Keep with your fire sprite companion Pip.

Chain a three-hit combo, dash through attacks, light braziers as checkpoints and collect embers. Arena fights lock you in, the Ruin Golem guards the old Order, and the Ashen King waits on his throne with a two-phase boss fight: shockwave leaps, fire pillars and summoned bats.

Every cutscene is fully voiced with talking portraits, in English, Spanish and Japanese (change the language on the title screen). Music shifts between exploring, combat and the boss fight.

Controls: Arrow keys or WASD to move, Z or J to attack, X or K to jump, C or L to dash, Esc to pause. Gamepads and touch screens work too.

Ember Wake is a showcase for Spritewright: every character, animation, background, tile, item, UI piece, sound effect, ambience, music track, voice line and portrait was generated with it.
